In-home maternity session inspired by candid motherhood

There was so much good that came from this beautiful in-home maternity session. Victoria’s sister reached out to me over the holidays to purchase a gift certificate for her sister’s maternity photos. I was elated to receive her inquiry. I love love love in-home family sessions. They’re just so raw and personal. There’s nothing quite like it.

After the holidays, Victoria reached out to start planning her shoot! She loved the idea of candid moments of motherhood with her little, cozy & natural maternity portraits, and slightly spicy couple’s photos. That’s when I knew we’d be a perfect fit. After we connected over a vision call, I started counting the days until her session!! I couldn’t wait to commemorate the love and anticipation of this moment in her family’s story.

When the day finally arrived, V was glowing. Her little had just woken up for a nap when I arrived. Brian gave her a quick snack while I photographed our momma on the bed. It wasn’t long before the whole family had joined in for photos in the sun. They snuggled, they danced, they explored, and when baby was over it, Victoria’s sister took her into the other room for another snack and some water.

Having backup family members during a family session with littles can be so helpful!! Especially for parents who want to squeeze in a few couple’s portraits!
