Adventurous Couple’s Session in the Autumn Woods | Lehigh Valley, PA

Sarah & Rachel were the winners of my website refresh giveaway. I was so excited to photograph these two. I originally met Sarah through yoga. She’s a certified teacher in the Lehigh Valley and a beautiful soul. I instantly connected with her intentional and fitness-inspired approach to her yoga classes. When I started following her on instagram and saw that she loved to hike and explore just as much as I did, I knew I wanted to be her friend!

After my new website launch, she entered my couple’s session giveaway. I had watched her adventures with her girlfriend, Rachel, as they traveled to Colorado, Maine, New York, etc. I thought - these are my kind of people. I had the perfect location in mind for their portrait session.

This uniquely beautiful quarry is tucked away, off the beaten path of a well-known park in the Lehigh Valley. I grew up exploring this place as a kid, and fell in love with the hidden meadow, slate cliffs, and turquoise quarry water. As a photographer, I love this location because the sun sets in the lower meadow in the most beautiful way.. winking just above the dark slate cliffs before it sinks out of view. As the sun laid down to rest in the Pennsylvania hills, we climbed the cliff to catch her final adieu. They danced as the sun slipped away, and the moon revealed her face.

It was an incredible evening at one my favorite spots. Thank you Sarah and Rachel for joining me for this gorgeous Fall session.
